A small studio on the second floor
Conport maps how a job moves through a company in and around Chișinău. We are not a software shop and we do not sell a headcount target.
The second floor on str. București has been used this way since November 2023. Thirty-eight maps are on the rack in the side room. The oldest is dated 14 November 2023. Most of the work is inside the municipality. A cellar, a yard, or a shop outside the city is booked only after the travel is written into the reply.
Three people keep the studio on a normal week. One leads the floor walk and will not start from the manager’s version. One keeps the model and refuses a box that has not been seen. One runs the hall, the plotter, and the cabinet of paper briefs. Names are on the reply to a brief, not on this page.
A finished job is a plotted sheet at 914 mm, the model of the agreed lanes, and a scenario note. The note has the straight path, two exceptions, and the wait everyone already knows about. If the brief was whole and the right people were on shift, that set leaves the studio eighteen working days after the floor walk.
We will not draw the future on the first visit.
Who is in the room
On a floor walk, one of us and the people who actually touch the job. A manager may walk with us, but the notes from the person at the counter outrank the tour.
At the review in the hall, we want the person who does the step and the person who will use the map. Two hours. The sheet is up before you arrive.
What we will not draw
A target process on day one. A recommendation to cut staff. A lane for a role nobody could find on the floor. A system we have not seen open.
If you need those, say so in the brief. We will tell you they are a separate piece of work, after the as-is is signed on the wall, or we will decline.
The week on the second floor
- MondayPlotting and corrections. No new recce.
- TuesdayFloor walks. Out of the studio by 08:10 when the site is in the city.
- WednesdayCards and the board. The screen stays off unless a wall is already agreed.
- ThursdayReview mornings, then the marks go back onto the sheet.
- FridaySecond walks, and the rolls that are ready to leave.
- Saturday, SundayThe studio is closed. The boards stay as they were left.
